Thank you for this article. Even here in the USA people are already questioning the legitimacy of mainstream media, whether they are telling the truth or mind conditioning the mere outcome they want. We are the silent majority which liberal thinkers undermine.

those that have been against FPRRD war on drugs have not been a witnessed to a 6 months old baby girl raped by drug addicts, by a grandmother, sisters, girls 10 to 14 years old raped and killed, where many families do not allow their to venture at night fearing they could be victimized by these drug addicts. This all changes when Duterte became president. The saying that it was now the criminals who were afraid of civilians become the norm. But now, it seems that the criminals and addicts are again lording the streets and the civilians are again afraid just like the pre-Duterte era. So much are being spoken in favor of the criminals who were "supposed victims of drug wars" but almost nothing is said for their innocent victims, the fear that they have instilled in the communities, I wonder what kind of society we have where the criminals seems to be glorified at the expense of their victims.

The chief deportation officer himself. Nope, Obama wasn't the hero that they portray him to be. The U.S. know him to have committed crimes against humanity for authorizing those drones to bomb their enemies including the countless innocent victims.

I remember Patricia as a TV news reporter in a big media, beautiful and gaining popularity until she disappeared. They say she had to leave that station because she expressed an opinion immediately after reading a news report on live TV. Baka talagang opinionated sya at the wrong times for the wrong reasons. Maraming mainstream media ganito din pero ang tahimik sa palpak na gobyerno ni BBM.

Di ba she won in this international oratory competition and later joined the Maria Ressa club of elitist Englisheras posing as the savior of Philippine journalism? I remember being caught up in the hype, too. Thank goodness for Duterte because the fakers came out of the woodwork.

Please indulge my venting, which may or may not add to the discourse. Pati yung "smart shaming" inilihis ang kahulugan nitong mga ipokritong kakampwet para kunyari sila yung "smart" choice ergo, "if you're not with us you're just smart shaming and you're not my audience." Pweh! Ang totoo sila yung mga bulag na bobo dahil sunod lang ng sunod sa kung ano position ng idolo nilang mga 'kano. Anong smart doon? Wala.

I met Patricia way back in 2013. I thought she was the sort of intellectual I could look up to. But when the drug war came, it became clear that we had different views and stood on opposite sides of the fence in the larger political discourse. What ultimately severed my respect for her was her indifference to the victims of drug addicts and syndicates.
